Hi there! I thought that this week I could show you some of the things I have been able to pick up from places like Vinted, Charity shops and Facebook. Most of the things will probably be stuff for Sophie. I do like to try and pick up children's items up cheaper as they can be SO  expensive, so I'm always looking for things that will do for Sophie as cheap as I can. Charity Shops The items below are the items that I have been able to pick up from local Charity shops... Farmyard Heads & Tails card game £2.50 Shorts £1.50 each Bunny Top 50p Blue Jeans £1.95 'Be Kind to Yourself' Top £1.50 Total £9.45 £2.20 £1.99 £2 Vinted  Not only do I love that you can get some nice items that are cheap on Vinted, I also love the fact that a lot of the sellers on there have bundle discounts. Meaning, if you buy multiple items from one person, you get a little bit of money off. When I'm buying any clothes for Sophie on there, specially if we're buying the next size up, I have...

Day Out: Railway Museum

Image
Hi there!   Since Sophie has shown more interest in trains and becoming choo, choo mad. We thought it would be a great idea to take her to the Railway Museum in York.   Starting the Day   We got up, got ready and had our breakfast, just as we would any other weekend. We tend to take it easy and let Sophie play a little before we do end up heading out of the door. This means that we don’t actually end up leaving the hous e until around 10/11am.   This morning, we were nicely awake before Sophie. We took FULL advantage by having ou r breakfast before she woke.    We headed out around 10am .   Railway Museum   We headed to the Park & Ride and then caught the bus into town. From there it is a bit of a walk to the museum. The museum itself is free to enter,  which is great for anyone after a cheap day out.   This is a great place to visit as there are lots of different trains. Each train has a little board that has a summary of i...

Our Weaning Journey

Image
Hi there!   Welcome to the world of weaning!   When we were looking and counting down the time until we could start trying Sophie with food, we looked into weaning and tried to figure out where to start. What we learned was that there are a lot of different options on how to we an your little one. This can lead to it becoming stressful. I did anyway.   The amount of pressure I started to feel about making Sophie all her own meals, from scratch, was unreal. It started to make me more anxious about the whole experience. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. Neither do you.    We chose to do a bit of a mix of BLW (Baby Led Weaning) with some puree meals. However you choose to wean your little one, i s down to what works best for you and baby.    It is NOT recommended to start weaning until your baby is 6 months and baby is ready. You can find all this information on the NHS website .   Around the time when we were about to start weaning Sophie, L...
