Meal Planning

Image
Hi there!   Oh, I do love to be as organised as possible for meal times. I find it makes life that little bit easier .   Of course, life happens and meals get pushed back. We cannot predict the future or know if and when we’re going to have those days that we just don’t fancy what we have planned. Although how great would it be to be able to predict the future?   We have loads of cookbooks that are scattered throughout the house, (kitchen, living room and study) we do try and keep them together.   The best way I find to plan meals is to sit with two notebooks. Notebook 1   The first notebook will have what I plan for certain days, keeping it in date order. A diary would probably work great for this too.   I go through the different cookbooks and try and spread out any meals that are similar, just so we have a bit more of a variety each week. I’m sure we would happily eat different pasta meals every day for a week.   I write out the day and da...

Pampers Poonami Refund Process

Image
Hi there!   We’ve tried different brands of nappies for Sophie since she has been born. When she was just in nappies, we would switch between Pampers nappies and an other brand which were just as good. It would always depend on where we were, when we needed to purchase more. Then we moved to nappy pants and the choice just seemed to drop. We were still happy to use Pampers though, as we hadn’t really had much of a problem with them up to this point.   Poonami Proof?   Pampers had been advertising that their nappies were “ poonami ” proof. Meaning that they don’t leak. These adverts also stated that if they did leak, you could get your money back.   But are they poonami proof as they claim? Up to this point, we had been pretty happy with Pampers nappies. Before moving onto pull ups, Pampers were in our top two brands of nappies. The other brand, unfortunately do pull up nappies. We had a few wet leaks from Pampers, but these were not as bad as other brands. ...

What I Packed in my Hospital Bag

Image
Hi there!   I thought I would do a bit of a list on what I packed for myself and for Sophie for our hospital bags.    There are many, many lists of what people pack already out there. I’m also going to add some things I wish I had taken and some bits that I just didn’t bother with.    I think I packed and re-packed the bags so many times and I changed which bags I was taking about 3 times. In the end I just ended up taking my suitcase and a bag for Sophie.     For reference, I went in to be induced so I wasn’t sure how long I would be in hospital for. I was in for a total of 6 nights, 5 nig hts before Sophie was born and a night once Sophie was born –  nearly 2 nights .   What I packed for myself:   Clothes – these were mainly baggy comfy tops and joggers   Pjs   Towels so I could have a shower   Breast Pads – which I didn’t end up using   Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash, shampoo, shower gel) I fo...
